 <title>Become More Competitive improved landscape gardener vocational education programme in Latvia and Estonia</title>

Project also elaborated educational materials in the volume of more than 30 ECTS for landscape gardening distance learning programme. To improve practical teaching process, a mini excavator and equipment for woodworking laboratory were purchased by project partners.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Teachers’ and industry stakeholders’ collaboration in educational materials development allowed to supplement educational content with the latest industry-oriented information. During the process of developing well-organised e-learning environment, teachers and educational institutions’ competence level in landscape gardening content increased, educational vision and goals were strengthened. In addition, the work on creating educational materials in Moodle environment enhanced teachers’ digital skills and supported ICT application in teaching process. Close cooperation with landscaping professionals also gave an opportunity to give feedback to industry on vocational education challenges and landscape gardener’s vocational standard.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Project has expressed that the cross-border collaboration was a big benefit and allowed project partners to share experience and insights, have common discussions and activities, personal contacts with industry representatives and new ideas. Project partners keep improving and implementing the landscape gardening curricula in Estonia and Latvia and have already made plans for future cooperation including with relevant organisations from other countries.&lt;br /&gt;

 <title>iSEE project innovated social entrepreneurship education</title>

The project resulted in 12 ECTS course which is targeted for students, and finetuned for the needs of entrepreneurs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To be able to create a need-based study course, the project collected information and data about social entrepreneurship from EU reports, and academic literature, and interviewed social enterprises and social enterprise organizations. Partners benchmarked social enterprises and ecosystem of social enterprises to create learning materials, to describe how they combine economic activities and social mission and how they define success. Lessons learned were put in practise during the intensive study week i.e., students from partner institutions (LAB University of Applied, University of Tartu, Riga Technical University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology) worked together with social entrepreneurship cases and topics and got familiar with the opportunities that social entrepreneurship could offer.&lt;/p&gt;

During the combined activities, especially the workshops for the teachers, both the curriculum and the teacher manual were extensively discussed. Also students were involved in developing and improving the curriculum.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;One of the outcomes of the project was that the lack of skills and the needs of skill enhancement in the gastronomy and tourism industry were analysed using a survey. Presenting the results of the survey motivated teachers and other stakeholders to take part in the project and to see a need to actively participate in the development of a new curriculum. The bottom-up approach which allowed all teachers to contribute to the development of the curriculum was highly estimated. It encouraged greater commitment from project participants and better relationships between colleagues because everyone was given the opportunity to influence decisions, regardless of their position.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Project has indicated in their final report that the biggest value of the cross-border cooperation was that the participants learned from and about each other as well as about successful factors influencing the Gastro Tourism Industry in both countries. In addition, the cooperation project provided inspiration, improved language skills and cultural exchange among teachers and students.&lt;br /&gt;

The project resulted an open online education module within business education to meet new competence needs. The module is rooted in partner institutions and made available for all, on an open educational platform (Moodle).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To be able to develop a need-based study programme, the project made a survey which mapped the finance service sector professionals’ expectations on future sustainability competence needs among vocational business graduates. The ideation process of the study programme also included views from educational institutions including students.&lt;br /&gt;
The study programme includes three modules which can be also studied independently. The modules are following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Sustainable development and climate change (5 ects)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Sustainable finance (5 ects)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Future megatrends and vocational competences (5 ects)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The study programme was piloted by four partner institutions: Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences (FI), Vocational education and training center &quot;Liepajas State Technical school&quot; (LV), Tartu Vocational Education Centre (EE) and Åland University of Applied Sciences (AX). Totally over 400 students took part in piloting.&lt;/p&gt;

The ICT platform gave an opportunity to find a mentor from another country and get support based on international experience, as well as communicate with participants from another country and discuss with her the possibilities of a common business in future.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During the project implementation, 20 cross-border student companies pitched their business ideas during two hackathons organised by the project. Student companies brought together girls from Latvia and Estonia and went through a simulated process of business start-up and development starting from a business idea and ending with an activity plan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Cross-border added value of the project is emphasized by the fact that girls from Latvia and Estonia had the opportunity to get acquainted with the trends, characteristics and specific examples of women&#039;s entrepreneurship in the neighboring country. Target group also had a great opportunity to communicate with their peers from Latvia and Estonia, get to know their culture and mentality, understand their problems, and find ways to solve them together.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;li&gt;ICT Security Specialist curriculum for level EQF 5&amp;nbsp;in English, Estonian, Finnish and Latvian.&amp;nbsp;Curriculum was piloted in all participating countries&amp;nbsp;(EST, FIN, LAT) before issuing the final version.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Learning Resources, especially practical Lab&amp;nbsp;Manuals focusing on 26 most relevant ICT security&amp;nbsp;topics for EQF 5 level specialists. These learning&amp;nbsp;resources can be used for any VET or ICT training&amp;nbsp;provider to use as is or to modify and use partially.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Skilled and competent VET institution teachers:&amp;nbsp;Teachers from 25 VET institutions were trained. To&amp;nbsp;support teachers in introducing and teaching the&amp;nbsp;curriculum Teacher handbooks were developed and&amp;nbsp;launched in the form of a web source.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;
The project communicated directly with all main&amp;nbsp;target groups: employers/SME&#039;s were addressed to define the skills gaps, VET students as main endusers&amp;nbsp;were involved in direct training while piloting&amp;nbsp;the curriculum and learning materials and VET&amp;nbsp;teachers were&amp;nbsp;engaged in teacher training and teachers&#039; manual&amp;nbsp;development. The electronic channels were for&amp;nbsp;informing about international dissemination&amp;nbsp;events, SME feedback survey, and teacher training.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The specific technical issues are subject to quick&amp;nbsp;changes, but, as the curriculum consists of&amp;nbsp;independent lab manuals, it should be easy to make&amp;nbsp;changes in these.&lt;br /&gt;
Project has reported already clear interest from&amp;nbsp;VET schools from the Netherlands, UK, and Spain,&amp;nbsp;to introduce the concept also to their countries and&amp;nbsp;to widen the scope of ICT security curricula to non-ICT students also.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
